UGHS Orchestra
Boosters!
The UGHS Orchestra Booster Club is a non-profit, dues-free organization that works to support the activities of the UGHS Orchestra. This includes fundraising, event planning, and publicity. Meetings will be scheduled within the next month and pushed out to parents regularly. Our next meeting will be October 14th, 2025 at 7:00 PM. Orchestra Fees
Please return your student's $60 orchestra fee to Mr. Wright ASAP. T-shirts will be in during November, and students will not receive their shirt if they have not paid their Orchestra Fee. Contact michael.wright@henry.k12.ga.us with any questions.
FIRST CONCERT!
Our first concert will be October 7th at the Fairview PAC (544 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge). Student call time is 6:30 PM. Please have your student there BEFORE that time.
Check that your student has turned in their ATTIRE picture. They MUST have this in soon to check on their concertwear.

Private Lessons
As students develop their schedules for the year, please consider private lessons for your students. Private instruction can help students improve rapidly and explore music they won't have opportunity to look at in my class. Follow the link below to see a list of options, or use Google to seek out opportunities!

MICHAEL WRIGHT
Orchestra Director
Michael Wright begins his eleventh year in Henry County this year. He is a conductor and violinist with experience teaching students of all ages, both as a private teacher and in the classroom. Mr. Wright holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Oklahoma Christian University and a Master of Music from the University of Iowa. He lives with his wife, Becca, and three children, Patton (12), Naomi, (9), and Anderson (6).
